The high intensity water thrill The Taipan, is ‘a 5-person raft where guests ride down one of two giant waterslides – You won’t see the drops, twists and turns – heart-stopping stuff. Also, Outback Bay the largest wave pool in NSW is just like the beach. Practice your body surfing, float on waves up to 1.5m high or just relax on a deck chair on the golden sand and soak up the sun. Billabong Beach is ideal for the young ones as they get to play in heated shallow pools and mini water slides, dodging jets of water from huge make-believe critters like Charlie the Croc, Percy the Pelican and Freddie Frog. The Settlers Shack is a real hit and is like the kids’ own big aqua cubby house!
There are plenty of other water based activities including The Rock, a 5 metre jump into a lagoon-like pool … if you dare, Splash Out Water Slides which reach great speeds down 100 metre slides and for greater speed Surf Hill is a wave-like slide with an 18m drop and 8 lanes of action so you can race your friends. There’s plenty to see and do out of the water including taking a Chair Lift ride 500metres to top station where the views stretch from Kurnell in southern Sydney to Jervis Bay to the south. If your game try the Bobsled ride to the bottom. Reach dizzy speeds as you twist and turn down the 1 kilometre track.
