When the sun goes down, Wollongong becomes a city full of surprises and like any
good wingman, it’s up for anything and refuses to sit still, but now there are plenty more options to
fill your dance card with. 

In recent years, a swathe of quirky and cool small bars and eateries have transformed the city’s after-dark landscape for the better. Choose from sophisticated and well-stocked spirit spots like 5Beekman (New York style cocktail bar); or if Gin is more your flavour check out The Botanist or lock down your fun at Breakout Bar and Escape rooms. If you want the full nightlife experience with not only good vibes but the best drinks you have to check out Mr Crown and Tusk where you can chat and dance the night away.

If you prefer beer, visit Five Barrel Brewing or Resin Brewery Small bars are definitely a constantly evolving
thing in this town, so knock three times and ask a local where the latest one is hiding.

Other things to do after dark include taking in a show at the IPAC theatre, live sport streamed at Frisky Flamingo or search out some raw musical talent at the many clubs and live venues including Towradgi Beach Hotel.

And hey, if your night gets so late that it becomes early, nothing beats watching the sunrise over the ocean (the only true way to know that the night is over) from one of our gorgeous beaches, while sipping the earliest of morning
coffees. Now, THAT was a good night…
