Contrasting old and new, this program brings a much-anticipated work to the region – Max Richter’s 2012 Re-Imagining of Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as well as original Vivaldi works. Steel City Strings will be joined by violinist, Emily Sun (ABC Young Performer of 2018) whose powerful sound and captivating interpretations have won her international renown.
The rest of the program includes Vivaldi’s Concerto Grosso in G minor and the Concerto for two violins in C major featuring orchestra leaders. From the same period the Sinfonia from Scarlatti’s opera Tolomeo e Alessandro rounds out the Baroque works.
