Illawarra Museum Wollongong

The Illawarra Museum Wollongong is housed in the 1882 pre-federation Post Office and features furnished rooms relating to this period.

The Illawarra Historical Society has worked hard since its formation in 1944 to collect artefacts that are local to this region.

Opened since 1966, the museum offers three exhibits including the Air Raid Shelter, Stockman’s Hut, and Historic Classroom.

The Museum is located on the City Centre Heritage Trail self-guided tour.
