Nan Tien International Women’s Day Choir, Chants and Ceremony Fundraiser

Sun 8th March 2026
9:00am - 12:00pm

Nan Tien Temple hosts a one-off community singing experience to mark International Women’s Day, inviting voices from across the region to gather in a spirit of music, mindfulness and giving. Set within the serene grounds of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Buddhist temple, this special day offers a rare opportunity to come together in song in an uplifting, inspiring setting, and to take part in a beautiful Buddhist blessing ceremony.

Led by Malika Reese, local professional singer, choir leader, gender equality advocate and 2025 City of Wollongong Citizen of the Year, participants will learn We Shall Be Known by MaMuse, a folk anthem celebrated for its rich harmonies and message of collective hope. The experience is open to everyone, from first-time singers to seasoned choristers, with no rehearsal required.
