Young Writers Workshops with Helena Fox
What a Wonderful World!
11.30am-1.30pm for Ages 10-13
Do you like world-building and inventing exciting places for your characters to play in? In this two-hour workshop, we will investigate how to create fantastical and compelling worlds for our stories, thinking about everything from physical geography to possible magic systems, to what the occupants of your story look like and how they behave.
Who Are You?
2.30pm-4.30pm for Ages 14-18
Characters are the cornerstones of any story, and stories shine brightest when those characters are distinct and three-dimensional. In this workshop we will explore the different ways characters can look, think, move and interact with each other, as well as learn the things they want and what makes them tick.
