The second series of the NSW Open Regional Qualifying tournaments is set to ignite the fairways across the state’s south.
The six-event series brings Australia’s brightest up-and-coming male golfers to compete at some of the State’s best regional courses.
A capacity field of 120 players will tee off at the city course, competing for the AUD50,000 on offer. Importantly, with the Australian Summer of Golf and the NSW Open just months away, three coveted spots in the prestigious NSW Open at the magnificent Murray Downs Golf & Country Club are also on the line for the top finishers not already qualified.
There will be plenty of hometown interest, with several local hopes competing.
Port Kembla-based touring professional Lincoln Tighe will be one to watch. Also adding to the local flavour, three-time PGA Tour of Australasia winner and Illawarra native Jordan Zunic will bring his considerable experience to a course he knows well.
Entry is free for spectators, and it gives those attending the rare opportunity to walk the fairways alongside the players and witness the drama up close and personal as the future male stars of the sport emerge.
The final round will also be broadcast via SEN, Golf NSW Digital, and social channels on Wednesday, September 18th.
