Science Space is launching the very first indoor starlight cinema experience in the Illawarra: SciFri Cinema!              

They are bringing you a gold class cinema viewing experience of some of the best Science Fiction films of all time under the most digitally advanced Jurassic ParkPlanetarium in Australia. Questacon Byte Wise at Wollongong Central Questacon

Questacon comes to Wollongong, for free!

Check out their Byte Wise Exhibition that will be hosted on Level one of the Crown Building near Michael Hill. The games and puzzles will be operating during centre shopping hours.

What is Byte Wise?

Byte Wise is a portable exhibition covering computational thinking processes, everyday mathematics and problem solving puzzles. Byte Wise consists of 24 interactive experiences and features puzzles and games, physical investigations and engaging exhibits that are suitable for adults and children.

Illawarra Folk Festival Folk Fest

The annual Illawarra Folk Festival is four exciting summer days of folk, world, roots, bluegrass, gypsy and Celtic music, as well as poetry, comedy and dance. 
With superb music from 140 international, national and local artists performing in over 400 concerts there’s also a colourful array of international food stalls, craft stalls and the festival bar.

Autorama Illawarra Car and Bike Show for Lifeline South Coast Autorama

Fathers and Mothers display their pride and joy cars and motorbikes while their kids are occupied by Jumping Castles, Face painting, and Reptile animal display. Formula One car on display, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and 250 Cars and Bikes. 
Over 70 trophies will be handed to their pride and joys, plus two people-choice trophies and 10 top ten trophies.

Fire breathing Dragons Dragons

Summer is the time for surfing, swimming and having fun on holidays, but this time of the year is also the bushfire season. Join the friendly fire breathing dragons near the Garden’s playground to learn how to become bushfire wise.

In addition to the play, treasure hunt and crafts, you’ll be able to meet the firefighting heroes from the Rural Fire Service and get a chance to check out their extraordinary firefighting truck.

There's also an opportunity to meet the firefighting heroes and explore the fire truck. The Rural Fire Service and their truck may be called away in an emergency.

Urban Farm Experience Farm Experience

Green Connect is a sprawling urban farm using permaculture and organic principles to grow fair food for Wollongong and the Illawarra.

They think that its important for people to know where their food comes from and the work that goes into producing it. They are striving to give a friendly, informative, hands-on tour of their farm where they explain the process from seed to plant to vegetable.

Visitors will be able to touch, smell and taste their way through their 12 acre farmlands, and the opportunity to meet their pigs, chickens and sheep.

Green Connect is a not-for-profit social enterprise and all proceeds will go towards the work that they do employing young people and former refugees to do environmental work that helps their community
